Congrats on creating this great site. My wife and I fell in love with Riesling's when we visited Santa Barbara about 6 years back. Coming from India which didn't have a developed wine market or culture, this was the first time we tasted Rieslings and Guwerztraminers. One may find it hard to believe but these 'lighter' wines do pair up pretty well with certain Indian foods such as paneers and the more richer gravies. I for one am also interested in contrasting tastes and don't mind pairing it up with tandoors and some curries too :)

More recently, there has been a virtual boom in the Indian wine industry and there are plenty of local and foreign wines available - mostly french and Napa wines though. I was wondering if the Riesling grapes will adapt to Indian conditions and grow well here so that one can try and make local wines using this grape? I have a bit of land where I am keen to experiment on this. Do you know any experts or consultants I can contact and potentially work with on this? Write to me at arunkotagiri@yahoo.com if you can help me.

And I will keep coming back here to learn more. Good luck.

Hey man - just had the Sekt. It kicks all kinds of butt!

I will likely be blogging about the selections when I taste my way through a bit more. Based on that Sekt selection, they're gonna be totally killer.

Cheers!
